Fossil Fuels and Climate Change Art Show

Stop Burning Coal!

March and Art Show

Burning coal for the use of power is one of the largest contributors to pollutants in our atmosphere, water and communities. As we burn more coal we further jeopardize our own health as well as the stability of our climate.

This march and artshow aims to provoke community thought about the importance of ending Massachusetts’ dependence on coal as soon as possible.

Seeking Art in All Media

Theme Artwork should pertain to energy from coal and its related issues and impacts. We encourage people to show how coal affects the environment, community health, and global environmental change.

Format Two-dimensional and free-standing three-dimensional pieces. In addition to pieces for the art show, we are also looking for 2.5’ x 3’ lightweight pieces which read like billboards for us to carry in the march itself.

Size Limitations We can accommodate pieces up to 5’ x 6’, if larger, contact Gboyer@brandeis.edu

Show Information There will be three shows following marches through Boston on April 2nd and 9th, and 22nd 2011. The shows will be located outside with a rain location of Old West Church, 131 Cambridge St, Boston. The pieces will then tour the state as a traveling art show.
